Brooklyn Nets roster map: creators, shooters, finishers, defenders

Brooklyn Ultimate

Brooklyn’s 2025-26 roster is a mix of development pieces and clear veterans. The production leader is Michael Porter Jr. at 25.0 points per game, while Nic Claxton leads the team in rebounds (7.3), assists (4.0), and blocks (1.3). That alone tells you how the Nets play: Porter as the primary scorer and Claxton as the defensive backbone and short-roll hub.

Creators: who bends the defense

Traore and Demin are the on-ball creators in the current depth chart structure. Mann is the veteran who keeps possessions from dying when the first action is stalled. Claxton is a sneaky creator too, because his assist lead suggests Brooklyn uses him as a short-roll passer and decision-maker.

Shooters: where spacing comes from

Porter Jr. is the center of Brooklyn’s spacing. If he is on the floor, the defense has to stay attached, which can open driving lanes for the guards. Demin and Mann support that spacing with catch-and-shoot value.

Finishers: who cashes in

Claxton is the main finisher as a roll man and dunk spot target, and Sharpe plays the same role with second units. Williams is a finisher in transition, where his athleticism plays up.

Defenders: who gets the stops

Claxton is the defensive identity. He leads Brooklyn in blocks and rebounds and also carries playmaking load, which is rare for a rim protector. Williams’ steals lead hints at Brooklyn’s wing pressure, and Clowney gives them a switchable forward option.
